How to Use the App
How Download and Sign into the App
You can find the app in either the PlayStore (Android) or the App Store (iOS). Search for WorkEngine
Open the WorkEngine application and sign in with your email address and password.
You will then be asked to enter a 6 digit passcode, this is unique to you.
You will be asked to input this again and once verified you then need to sync all the data.
Select the blue ‘Sync’ button to start. Please note, that this may take a couple of minutes.
When this has been completed it will open the home page.
How to view your Appointments
On the homepage will be one Icon ‘My Appointments’. Select this to view your appointments in date order.
A list view of your appointments will be shown. If you want to see more information select the table view icon in the top right.
Starting an Appointment & Overview
Select the appointment you are going to. This will open an overview page with all the details of the appointment.
At the bottom of the page you can select call customer and this will call the Site Telephone Number.
Travelling
When you are ready to start travelling to the appointment, select ‘Start Travelling’ and this will open the next page.
Navigate
Select the ‘Navigate’ button if you want to open Google Maps that will give you directions to the appointment address.
ArrivedOnce arrived at the destination back out of Google Maps and select ‘Arrived’ and this will move you onto the work page.
Work
This page will show you deployment notes, booking notes, arrival message and will allow you take before photos. To take the photos select ‘Add Photos’ button. Once these have been taken you can then move onto Tasks.
To move to the next page use the arrows or drop down at the top of the page.
Tasks
This page will show you any relevant documents that need to be completed.
- To open the task, select the Task Name (this will be highlighted in blue)
- Fill in the work that is required (please note there may be more than one page) and select select ‘Save’ on the last page
Please ensure that the ‘Task Complete’ check box is filled in. If this is not selected it may stop you completing the appointment.
When finished use the back arrow to get back to the Tasks page.
Complete Job
When you have finished the tasks you can now complete the works. You will need to take After Photos in the same way you took the Before Photos. A departure message may be shown and finally select Complete Job.
Please ensure you have a customer sign off.
You will also be able to add in any comments you may have regarding this appointment
Select ‘Complete Job’ when you are happy that all the works have been completed.
If you haven’t finished a task a massage will be shown and you will not be able to complete.
You will need to go back to the ‘Tasks’ page and ensure that all mandatory tasks have been completed.
The appointment will automatically be closed on the device once the appointment has successfully completed.
Fail an Appointment
If you, for any reason can’t carry on with the appointment you can fail it.
- To do this select Fail Job page
- Fill in the failure notes.
- Select Fail and the appointment will automatically be taken from the device and will appear on the scheduler as a failed job ready for someone to action.
